dc.description.abstractCardiogenic pulmonary edema (CPE) is a rare clinical condition of acute rheumatic fever (ARF) in the early stage. Generally, CPE can be convalesced by steroid and anticongestive treatment. Herein, we describe a case of a 14-year-old boy with ARF presenting with bilateral pulmonary edema secondary to acute mitral and aortic insufficiency. In this case, the pulmonary edema of ARF was successfully managed by combined surgical replacements of both valves.
