dc.description.abstractPurpose: Akt, also known as protein kinase B (PKB), is an intracellular signal transduction protein activated by growth hormones. PKB/Akt is frequently activated in a variety of cancer types, but its role in the development and progression of lung cancer has not been completely elucidated yet. The aim of the present study was to determine the prognostic value of PKB/Akt in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
