Herein we present our experience using a free composite anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap with vascularized fascia lata and a modified Lindholm-s technique to repair the Achilles- tendon. A 37-year-old man suffered from tertiary Achilles- tendon rupture. For reconstruction, the free composite ALT flap with vascularized fascia lata was used to wrap Achilles- tendon. A modified Lindholm-s technique was used to cover overlying soft tissue defects. The patient was followed up for 12 months. No wound healing problems were reported, and the patient was able to walk and return to his daily ambulating activities without any support after 5 months postoperatively. This technique may be useful to achieve satisfactory outcomes in patients with ruptured Achilles- tendons following tertiary repair.Publication Metadata only Comparison of free anterolateral thigh flaps and free muscle-musculocutaneous flaps in soft tissue reconstruction of lower extremity.(2010-01-01T00:00:00Z) DEMIRTAS, Y; Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; CIFCI, M; TAYFUR, V; DEMIR, A; GUNEREN, ETHEM; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMPublication Open Access A simple concept for covering pressure sores: wound edge-based propeller perforator flap.(2017-12-01T00:00:00Z) Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; Guneren, E; Van, Landuyt; Yagmur, C; Sommeling, CE; Keles, MK; Tayfur, V; Simsek, T; Demirtas, Y; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMPublication Metadata only Comparison of free muscle and perforator skin flaps for soft tissue reconstruction of the foot and ankle.(2010-01-01T00:00:00Z) DEMIRTAS, Y; NEIMETZADE, T; Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; GUNEREN, ETHEM; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMPublication Metadata only Free anterolateral thigh flap for reconstruction of car tire injuries of children-s feet.(2010-01-01T00:00:00Z) DEMIRTAS, Y; NEIMETZADE, T; Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; GUNEREN, ETHEM; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMPublication Open Access Embedding Exposed Subcutaneous Venous Ports in the Pectoral Muscle: A Practical and Stable Technique for Coverage(2017-04-01) Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; Demir, Ahmet; Yagmur, Caglayan; DEMIRTAS, Yener; Guneren, ETHEM; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMObjective: The aim of this study was to present our experience in embedding exposed subcutaneous venous ports in the pectoral muscle.Publication Metadata only Electrical burns: Highlights from a 5-year retrospective analysis(2016-05-01) KURT, Alper; YILDIRIM, Kamil; Yagmur, Caglayan; Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; ASLAN, Ozan; GUMUS, Murat; Guneren, ETHEM; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMBACKGROUND: Electrical burns are the third most common cause of burn injuries, after scald and flame burns. In spite of decreasing mortality rates as advancements are made in treatment modalities and medical equipment, significant complications and socioeconomic consequences still accompany electrical burns. Analyzed in the present study were data from patients hospitalized for electrical burns between 2008 and 2012 in the Samsun Training and Research Hospital, the only burn care center in the Black Sea region of Turkey.Publication Metadata only Steam burn as a late complication of nonsensate DIEP flap after breast reconstruction.(2019-05-01T00:00:00Z) Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; Yeniocak, A; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEMPublication Metadata only THE INCREASING OF PEDICLED PROPELLER PERFORATOR FLAP SURVIVAL BY AN EXTRA VEIN ANASTOMOSIS(2017-07-01) Yildiz, KEMALETTİN; OZEREN, Mehmet; Kelahmetoglu, OSMAN; Guneren, ETHEM; YILDIZ, KEMALETTİN; KELAHMETOĞLU, OSMAN; GÜNEREN, ETHEM
