Publication PARALYSIS OF ABDUCENS NERVE AFTER SADDLE BLOCK IN A GERIATRIC PATIENT: CASE REPORT(2012-01-01T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Aktas, Gulistan; TÜRKAY, MELTEMParalysis of abducens nerve is a very rare reversible complication of lumbar puncture, which is a common procedure most often used for diagnostic and anesthetic purposes. The incidence of postdural puncture headache and paralysis of abducens nerve is related with younger age, female gender, and the diameter and shape of the needle used, and also with multiple insertions of the needle into the subarachnoid space. Traction on the sixth cranial nerve due to cerebrospinal fluid leak leads to lateral rectus muscle palsy. Alternative types of anesthesia or performing spinal anesthesia using smaller diameter or atraumatic spinal needles may help to decrease the incidence of abducens palsy. We aimed to present a case of 6th nerve paralysis after spinal anaesthesia in a geriatric patient who was not in the risk group.Publication Ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block in patients undergoing pediatric abdominal surgery: a randomized study(2022-05-01T00:00:00Z) PINAR, PARVİN; YEŞİLTAŞ, SERDAR; TÜRKAY, MELTEM; KARAASLAN, Kazım; TÜRKÖZ, Ayda; PINAR, PARVİN; YEŞİLTAŞ, SERDAR; TÜRKAY, MELTEM; KARAASLAN, KAZıM; TÜRKÖZ, AYDABackground: Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) can provide effective analgesia in pediatric abdominal surgery. Additionally, when used as an analgesic method in abdominal surgery, ESPB may increase regional intra-abdominal tissue oxygen saturation (rSO(2)) throughout the operation. However, the number of related studies conducted on pediatric patients is insufficient.Publication Comparison of laryngeal mask airway supreme and laryngeal mask airway proseal for laryngopharyngeal trauma and postoperative morbidity in children.(2013-11-01T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Eksioglu, B; Oba, S; Unsal, O; Türk, HS; Sinikoglu, SN; Tug, A; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Indirect laryngoscopic assessment for the diagnosis of difficult intubation in patients undergoing microlaryngeal surgery.(2016-02-01T00:00:00Z) Türkay, MELTEM; Şentürk, T; Arslan, BY; Yeter, H; Sevdi, MS; Aydın, S; Gergin, I; Erkalp, K; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Comparison of analgesic efficiency between wound site infiltration and ultra-sound-guided transversus abdominis plane block after cesarean delivery under spinal anaesthesia.(2014-01-01T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Sinikoglu, S; Naki, M; Ocak, N; Sanlı, N; Alagol, A; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication A comparison of different proportions of a ketamine-propofol mixture administered in a single injection for patients undergoing colonoscopy.(2015-06-19T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Türk, HS; Oba, S; Gokalp, O; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Can Supreme™ laryngeal mask airway be an alternative to endotracheal intubation in laparoscopic surgery?(2014-01-01T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Turk, HS; Oba, S; Unsal, O; Sinikoglu, SN; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Ketamine versus alfentanil combined with propofol for sedation in colonoscopy procedures: a randomized prospective study.(2014-12-01T00:00:00Z) Türk, HŞ; Aydoğmuş, MELTEM; Ünsal, O; Işıl, CT; Citgez, B; Oba, S; Açık, ME; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Spinal Anaesthesia in a Patient with Kartagener Syndrome Undergoing Inguinal Hernia Operation: Letter to the Editor(2011-06-01T00:00:00Z) Aydogmus, MELTEM; Ediz, Naim; Dogan, Alper Tunga; Tarhan, Gokay; Tug, Aslihan; Oba, Sibel; TÜRKAY, MELTEMPublication Analysis of the effect of perioperative magnesium sulphate on minimal alveolar concentration of desflurane using bispectral index monitoring.(2011-12-01T00:00:00Z) Tomak, Y; Tekin, M; Kati, I; Belenli, C; Aydogmus, MELTEM; TÜRKAY, MELTEM
