Publication Metadata only Thymoquinone administration ameliorates Alzheimer-s disease-like phenotype by promoting cell survival in the hippocampus of amyloid beta(1-42) infused rat model(2020-12-01T00:00:00Z) ELİBOL, BİRSEN; Beker, Merve; Terzioglu-Usak, Sule; Dalli, Tugce; Kilic, Ulkan; ELİBOL, BİRSEN; BEKER, MERVE; TERZİOĞLU, ŞULEBackground: Thymoquinone (TQ), a biologically active ingredient of Nigella sativa, has anti-inflammatory, antioxidative and neuroprotective properties. Therefore, it could be a good candidate in the recovery of Alzheimer-s disease (AD) pathology rather than current symptomatic reliefs.Publication Metadata only Plasticity-Promoting Effect of Melatonin After Experimental Cerebral Ischemia(2016-09-01) Kilic, Ulkan; Elibol, Birsen; Beker, Mustafa Caglar; Caglayan, Ahmet Burak; Tasa, Burcugul Altug; Beker, Merve; Ozen, Mustafa; Yilmaz, Bayram; Kilic, Ertugrul; ELİBOL, BİRSEN; BEKER, MERVEPublication Metadata only Perinatal dönemde farklı müzik türlerine maruz kalmanın genç yaştaki sıçanların motor aktiviteleri üzerine etkileri(2020-08-01T00:00:00Z) Elibol, Birsen; Beker, Merve; Kırpınar, İsmet; ELİBOL, BİRSEN; BEKER, MERVE; KIRPINAR, İSMETPublication Metadata only Thymoquinone (TQ) demonstrates its neuroprotective effect via an anti-inflammatory action on the Aβ(1–42)-infused rat model of Alzheimer-s disease(2019-10-01) Elibol, Birsen; Şahbaz, Çiğdem Dilek; Beker, Merve; Terzioğlu, Şule; ELİBOL, BİRSEN; TERZİOĞLU, ŞULE; BEKER, MERVE; ŞAHBAZ, ÇIĞDEM DILEKOBJECTIVES: Alzheimer-s disease (AD) is a severe neurodegenerative disease with presentation of the neuronal death, memory loss and cognitive decline. The relationship between neuroinflammation and AD has been well documented. However, the options of anti-inflammatory treatment are very limited in patients with AD. Previous studies showed that flavonoids might be an effective treatment and thymoquinone (TQ), an aromatic hydrocarbon found in Nigella sativa suggested as a candidate molecule due to having strong anti-inflammatory effects. Our study aimed to investigate the effects of TQ on neuroinflammation and neuroprotection in A beta((1-42)) infused rat model of AD.Publication Metadata only Neuroprotective effects of thymoquinone on the learning and memory mechanisms and hippocampal neurogenesis in aged rats(2019-10-22) Elibol, Birsen; Terzioğlu, Şule; Beker, Merve; ELİBOL, BİRSEN; TERZİOĞLU, ŞULE; BEKER, MERVE
