Çocuk ölüm oranlarının azaltılması, anne sağlığının iyileştirilmesi, HIV/AIDS, sıtma ve diğer hastalıklar ile mücadelede büyük aşama kaydetmiş durumdayız. 1990 yılından bu yana, önlenebilir çocuk ölümlerinde dünya genelinde %50’yi aşan azalma olmuştur. Anne ölümleri de dünya genelinde %45 azalmıştır. 2000 ile 2013 arasında HIV/AIDS bulaşma oranı %30 azalmış, 6,2 milyonu aşkın insan sıtmadan kurtarılmıştır.
Bu ölümler; önleme ve tedavi, eğitim, aşı kampanyaları, cinsel ve üreme sağlığı hizmetleri vasıtasıyla önlenebilir. Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Amaçları; AIDS, verem, sıtma ve diğer bulaşıcı hastalık salgınlarını 2030 yılına kadar ortadan kaldırmaya yönelik cesur bir taahhüttür. Amaç, herkesin genel sağlık hizmeti, güvenli ve erişilebilir ilaç ve aşıya kavuşmasını sağlamaktır. Aşı araştırma ve geliştirmelerinin desteklenmesi, bu sürecin vazgeçilmez bir parçasıdır.

Drug repurposing is suggested to be a convenient alternative for drug development in cancer treatment. Ivermectin, the antiparasitic agent produced by the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis, is currently being examined thoroughly in oncology and has begun to be seen as a potential drug candidate for BC therapy. However, studies are limited, and the exact anti-tumorigenic mechanism is not yet clarified in breast cancer. Methods: For elucidating the molecular mechanisms of Ivermectin’s potential anticancer effects, we have examined its in vitro effects on BC cells in terms of cell viability, intracellular ROS levels, glutathione levels, mitochondrial membrane potential, apoptosis, and DNA damage. Results: Ivermectin induces apoptosis via oxidative stress and DNA damage in BC cells. Conclusion: The in vitro mechanistic studies of promising anticancer agents for repurposing are essential guides for drug developers. In recent years, it has been proven that although this enzyme activity is tightly regulated in normal cells, if the enzyme activity cannot be controlled, it can lead to malignancy. EGFR is also considered a prominent macromolecule in targeted cancer chemotherapy. For this purpose, a comprehensive modeling studies were conducted against EGFR protein and novel molecules containing 5-[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methyl]-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione structure were suggested to be synthesized. Among the synthesized molecules, compounds 7c, 8c, 8f and 8g were determined to have significant IC50 values. Compound 8g was found to have the IC50 value closest to the very well-known EGFR inhibitor Gefitinib with its noncompetitive inhibition form. K i value of compound 8g was calculated as 0.00232 µM. The aim of this study was to investigate patient and fracture characteristics, and outcomes in cases where fractures occurred in the presence of a malign pathology but were treated as simple fractures. Patients andMethods: Cases of malign bone lesions between 20 0 0 and 2020 were retrospectively re-viewed. Patients with a final diagnosis of malign bone lesion but whose pathological fractures were treated ignoring the underlying malign bone disease were included. Demographic, clinical and outcome data were collected from patient\"s medical records and analyzed.Results: Six patients met the inclusion criteria. Three of the patients were female and the cohort mean age was 56.8 +/- 21.8 years at the time of admission. Patient diagnoses were: renal cell carcinoma metas-tasis ( n = 1); colon cancer metastasis ( n = 1); chondrosarcoma ( n = 2); osteosarcoma ( n = 1); and undif-ferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of bone ( n = 1). In all cases surgical management differed from those that should have been applied if the pathological fracture had been identified. Furthermore, surgical man-agement after definitive histological diagnosis were more aggressive compared to if the malignancy had been identified at first admission. All patients died after a mean follow-up of 16.67 +/- 11.7 months and the complication rate was 100%.Conclusion: When a pathological fracture is misdiagnosed and managed as a simple bone fracture, out-comes are extremely poor. In these situations, remedial surgery is more extensive, with increased com-plication rates and there is poor life expectancy.(c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. With the presently available knowledge on CRC, it is understood that the underlying is a complex process. The complexity of CRC lies in aberrant activation of several cellular signaling pathways that lead to activation and progression of CRC. In this context, recent studies have pointed towards the role of developmental pathways like; hedgehog (HH), wingless-related integration site (WNT/??-catenin) and Notch pathways that play a crucial role in maintenance and homeostasis of colon epithelium. Moreover, the deregulation of these signaling pathways has also been associated with the pathogenesis of CRC. Therefore, in the search for better therapeutic options, these pathways have emerged as potential targets. The goal of this study is to assess differences in chronotype and sleep quality between infertile and fertile people. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted. The infertile patient population consisted study group. Primiparous patients without any known gynecological disease who presented for routine cervical cancer screening follow-up were included in the control group. The Turkish version of the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) and Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores were evaluated between groups. RESULTS: A total of 227 patients were assessed. There were 110 patients in the study (infertile) group and 117 patients in the control (fertile) group. The evening chronotype proportion (23.6 vs. 0.9%, p < 0.001) was higher in the infertile group. The median of MEQ score was significantly higher in the fertile patients (50, IQR = 43 - 55 vs. 56, IQR = 51 - 59; p < 0.001), and the median of PSQI score was significantly higher in the infertile patients (5, IQR = 4 - 6, vs. 4, IQR = 3 - 5; p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we found significantly worse sleep quality, and more evening chronotype in the patients with infertility.
